I'm actually at the office, supposedly working. Well I am, but then I got sucked into reading some makeup and beauty articles! I found a few interesting links I'd like to share with you guys:

Tour of Beauty: Chanel's Jasmine Fields in Grasse, France

The Makeup of Yesteryear

I got fascinated with this concept after reading Joanne Harris's (of Chocolat fame) short story on Victorian beauty rituals. It's incidentally told from the view point of a Chanel perfumer. Anyway! This article from Illinois Times is about makeup in the 1800's. Lead and beef in your face? No? How about some sperm whale wax on your lips? By god everyone must stink then.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed reading this. I gotta go back to work. Thirty minutes before the end of the day!
