Saturday shopping spree
Monday, July 12, 2010 at 4:23PM In this post I pledge to not buy anything kikay-related (except for toiletries and random thrifted pieces) for the rest of July. I've been spending waaay too much lately for things that I don't really need. I'd like to think of myself as a thrifty person, so the rate I've been spending this past month is already scaring me. Besides, I need to save up for two things: the Clinique Moisture Surge and the new Urban Decay Naked palette! Priorities, priorities.

Have you guys been to the Zara sale? The prices are batshit insane! Most of the stuff on the store were either 50% or 70% off. I visited the branch in Glorietta and couldn't help but buy this ultra-soft Trafaluc long cardigan and pink tiered skirt.

The devil is in the details

I love soft hues of pink!
Then I saw Shoebox on sale (3rd level, Glorietta 4 I think) and I just had to have these wedges! I've been looking for something like this for a long time now. They'd look perfect with minis and pants.

I needed a pretty phone to tote around, so after checking out the cellphone stores I settled on this cutie. It's a fully touchscreen phone with a decent 2MP camera called Samsung Corby. It doesn't have a lot of fancy features, but my iPod Touch has already got that covered.

Pink again! Did I tell you I'm matchy-matchy at heart? The nail polish is from Sally Hansen. It's called Flashy Fuchsia. Been sporting it this whole week!

And that's it. God help me in my July resolution. How about you, have you visited the end of season sales? What did you get? Answer in the comments!

Thrifted velvet jacket / Bench loose white tee / Forever 21 necklace / Zara skirt / Shoebox shoes / LuLu bag

hi liz! yes, omg the zara sale! i want to go back soon! tees are for P399, lovely high heels are P1300+ and cardigans for P499! =) i felt bad though coz i bought a dress for 2,500 two weeks ago and now its priced P1,300!!! =s hehe
I love the cardigan! It's so cute. I've actually thought about getting the Corby too, but is it really that lacking in features?
Btw, totally irrelevant, but I'm currently obsessed with flat oxford shoes/brogues. Any idea where I can get a nice pair that won't cost an arm and a leg (ie., less than a 1000 bucks?) :)
@Patricia ow, that must hurt! i usually wait for sales when there are pricey clothes i really like. but i know how it feels when you just cant wait to have it!
@Liza check out The Ramp! They have brogues. I got mine from a brand named Tonic for like P900, I think. It's in my blog, search for it na lang. Ichigo shoes also have a gorgeous selection of neutral-colored brogues at The Ramp; you can also buy from their online store.
You can also visit http://shopshoeology.com/. They have cheap brogues/oxfords there, but my friend who bought from there found the quality not too awesome. I suggest you check it out for yourself. ;)
@Liza about the Corby...it's a pretty basic phone. No 3G, even. It does have the usual stuff like calculator, timer, stopwatch, FM radio, music player, voice recorder, a few other extras - and thats it. I just really use it for texting and calling :P and taking quick photos cos the camera's okay.
Hi, Liz! Good to hear you love Moisture Surge! By the way, we are currently running a counter event in our Makati store, the Do It Yourself Beauty Secrets event. Those who would like to sit down for a consultations gets a Moisture Surge and Long Last Lipstick travel size!
Hi May! Thanks for the info!
I also visit the glorietta branch last saturday :) I got myself a knitted Jacket, Oxford shoes and of course a little black dress :) Gawd! The sale is making me insane :)
@Liz Lanuzo : true The ramp is on sale? :) OMG!
