Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye

I once joked on Twitter that I should be ashamed of myself if I still have eyebags after going through all the eye creams I have. Ha ha. But seriously, the skin around our eyes should be well-cared for. All that rubbing we do when you're tired, the late nights, the unnecessary exposure to the sun - these will take sweet revenge in twenty years, even ten. That's why it's important to find an eye cream that can serve as a maintenance product.

Eye creams are basically designed to moisturize and to keep down the puffiness of the eye area. They should also be able to soothe the distressed skin after a long day of exposure. After trying out the famous Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye, I can say that this product does the jobs I mentioned above.

The Estee Lauder ANR was first formulated in 1982 and has now become one of the brand's key products. The texture is similar to a serum - not too heavy and absorbs easily. It feels cool once applied, a quality I look for when it comes to eye creams. I haven't used it long enough to see the long-term effect, but I like it! I love the texture and the moisturizing properties.

I'm sure you know this is coming so...yes, this isn't cheap. It's P2,950 for a 15ml jar. However, all the good eye creams retail for that price range so it isn't really much of a shock. At the very least, a 15ml jar will last you for a long time since just a dab of this concentrated product goes a long way.

Advanced Night Repair is available at all Estée Lauder stores at Marionnaud and all Rustan’s Department stores.

This is my "HG" night cream. I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive! (why are eye creams so expensive?!?)

why your HG? ay, so true, most eye creams are priced waay up there. perhaps because theyre so concentrated and has all that fancy technology used in them? but maybe its because the eyes are super sensitive, and they just cant put anything in their creams.

hi noemz! well it actually did. but my job requires me to try out some of the latest stuff out there :P so i've received a few more eye creams along the way, which i use for review purposes.

This looks so luxurious and tempting but I need to know if this is better than Eyliplex-2. I have been lemming for this product but I'm still on the lookout for the best product in the market. You see I have really dark circles and fine lines under the eyes. May I ask for your opinion, Liz? I have tried Clinique's All About Eyes but this doesn't really help with the circles but it's really good for the fine lines =)

Hi Anna! I believe that the Estee Lauder is designed to be a maintenance product - that is, it does the basic functions of a night cream. It's best for everyday use.

Eyliplex-2 is more of a troubleshooting product (for me anyway). When I have really bad circles due to so and so unexpected circumstances, I use Eyliplex-2 as a quick fix. It does wonders for dark eye bags.

So to summarize:

Estee Lauder ANR - If you don't even have major eye area problems to fix, use this product as a night moisturizer and de-puffer. It will also soothe the stress in the area.

Eyliplex-2 - If you have major dark bags and lines, this is one of your best bets. The fast-acting day gel revitalizes the bags while the heavy night cream provides deep moisturizing. It's really best for trouble-shooting rather than maintenance, so I use this product on and off.

Hope this helps!

Hi Liz. ANR is my HG because it really keeps the puffiness to a minimum, and I swear it lightened my eyebags after months of continuous use. I've tried various eye creams before this and none worked or suited me better than ANR. But like I said, I just wished it was cheaper. I always end up buying this in duty free shops, I save mga P800 pesos.

Hi Liz, where can I get Eyliplex-2? I think I need troubleshooting and not maintenance at the moment :))
You know I note down all your product reviews I find it very helpful esp for a busy career woman like me.

Thank you for helping me decide which I need the most =) Once I'm done troubleshooting I might get the ANR... I love Estee Lauder products =)
