Ask Liz! > How to achieve a dewy finish for Morena skin tone?

Hello Miss Liz! I've been a lurker in your blog for almost two years now, and I find your posts really helpful and interesting, so thank you for coming up with fresh ideas for us! :) Anyway, I've noticed the trend of dewy finish really gaining traction nowadays since it's more natural looking than a matte face, especially in our kind of weather. Can you give me some tips on how to achieve this dewy finish without looking too oily or shiny given the humidity we experience? One problem I have, though, is that I am morena, an NC40 to be specific, and I have been trying a lot to experiment, but I haven't found the right techniques yet. I hope you can help me! :)

there are alot of ways to achieve a dewy skin/finish.

1. Highlighter - anything shimmery placed on top of cheekbones, browbone and bridge of your nose will definitely give a dewy and highlighted healthy look.

2. Spray - there are available face sprays out there that gives you a dewy finish. The NYX dewy finish spray can help you out. They also make a matte spray.

3. Moisturizer - for me personally when you apply moistrizer before your makeup can help you achieve a dewy finish. Well, this is based on my experience. My skin looks healthy and dewy because of the moisturizer adding shine to my face. Though there are times I have to powder down some areas that are not pleasant to look at with shine.

Well for me these are ways to achieve a dewy look. :-) though I don't think your skincolor can affect the way you achieve your finish. Look for MAC extra dimension skin finish. They make a couple of shades for highlighter. For me i use the skinfinish as eyeshadow too!! Because it is shimmery and pretty. There are also liquid highlighters like The Body shop highlighter and Too Cool for school pearl bay :-) though I suggest you look into the mac skinfinish :-)
